Quality of Life Support

At SATC, we strive to improve the quality of life for all people being supported by services. We offer quality of life consultancy for the provider, the support team and for the people being supported by services.

This includes supporting the person to develop more understanding about what they truly value and their goals, views, wishes and feelings. From this, we support the person to develop their own achievable plan to work towards their goals. Specific programmes available within this plan can include:

Emotional regulation development

  • Creating person centered communication systems, based on the individuals needs
  • Behaviour reduction
  • Developing understanding in knowledge and awareness in areas the person receiving support would benefit from (e.g. internet safety, money management, sexuality and relationships)

We can review incidents of behaviours of concern and offer guidance on strategies that could help the person being supported to reduce the frequency and severity, reduce restrictions and mitigate risk. As part of this process we can support, train and develop the team around the person receiving support to work towards this. This quality of life support can be for a whole service and all of the people using the service, or for individuals.

This is specific to the individual needs of the service and people using the service. Please contact SATC to discuss further.
